THE REQUIREMENT

Find 2 very different pieces of 2-page text. Your task is to propose a typographic and grid re-design of these texts. Each will be designed uniquely and individually.

THE RESPONSE

I considered critically both the original typographic design for each text and the re-design. By making specific choices around grid, typography and visuals, I was able to provide supporting rationale and make a supported argument for my re-design.

RED INK ?

At first, I found it easier to thin up re-design ideas and the make up a rationale for it, but with practice I was able to switch my process which resulted in a stronger, more supported rationale.
